Since nobody has reported about Windows, I download RC4 and tried it out. Issue: Updating fgdata did not work. 1. Screen says that the base package is 2024.1.6, but 2024.1.7 is required. click the Update button. 2. Screen says the base package is compatible. Options are Download or Select a New File Location. click the Download button. 3. "Download" folder was deleted and the full 1.7 GiB was re-downloaded... ugh. Issue: Cannot get past the splash screen. Application frozen. 1. I had the same issue with 2024.1.6, so others need to test. 2. Menu is visible on the splash screen, but is non-functional (i.e. frozen) 3. Nothing obvious from examining the logs. 4.
