Checked back 2024.1.6 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 and Windows 11 Pro 25H2. No
splash-screen issue here. The update to 2024.1.7-rc4 of FGData also went
fine on both, although for some reason took longer on Windows 11. There
were no METAR issues as well.

I also checked the AppImage of 2024.1.7-rc4 on Debian 13.6. No issues to
report here, although I didn't check the update of FGData, because I
manage it via Git.
