How is it going to be used in the equation for the rotation speed, then? I have I dw/dt = T where I is the MoI of the complete rotating system [ kg m^2 ] (blades, hub, engine axle, ...) about its rotation axis, w [ s^-1 ] is rotation speed and T [ N m ] is the sum of all torques acting on the system. Comparison of units shows [ kg m^2 ] [ s^-2 ] = [ kg m^2 s^-2 ] = [ N m ], correct if and only if I has the unit [ kg m^2 ].
