Increase speed of buttons

Hi,

I got BU0836X works thanks to Jon Stockill.
When I turn the encoder knobs I can increase of one degree the radial. 
But if I have to turn many degrees (eg 180), then I have to do too many 
laps. Flightgear is too slow to receive commands !
How to fix it?
