photo scenery howto?

I've been trying to find a way to add aerial photographs. I've read 
through some of the emails on the archive list and have seen people have 
had some sucess.

Essentially I'm asking whether someone has made a howto or tutorial on 
how to add aerial shots to the scenery? The discussions often take on a 
form that gets too complex for me.
