What is your system? genapts is only fairly recently robust to line-ending differences in apt.dat - make sure you have the latest CVS checked out, or check your line endings. Have you changed LFPO manually before running that command - try it on vanilla apt.dat. Does your work dir exist? Any output from genapts before "segmentation error"? Can you get a back-trace?

-Working on LINUX.
-it has found the work directory.
-the apt file is the last one
-the CVS is the last one

The difficulties seems coming from: missing poly_counter !?!?! in
work, and i don't have any of SRTM or DEM files.
Theses files could be necessary.

It writes a file => last_apt with in it : "before building LFPO"
nothing else.
