Hi all My name is Hannes Naudé and I am working on a little app that generates fractal terrains. I thought it would be cool if I could fly over these terrains using flightgear and/or use existing flightgear terrains as starting "seeds" for generating more detailed fractal terrains. In this respect I am very interested in the .btg file format so I can read/write flightGear scenery files. I've been googling for a while now with no luck, so I assume there is no writeup available. I am willing to look at the FlightGear code to figure this out but would appreciate it very much if someone could tell me where to start looking. I am moderately familiar with OpenGL, although I usually work in DirectX (so I would at least follow the plot if reading scenery loading code that sets up vertex and index buffers). Regards and thanks in advance.
