OK, I am going to register a membership to http://www.nahb.org/ That is a home builder's web site, hopefully they have digital data for home buildings in USA. I am afraid they will throw me out of the door if I bring up my request too soon. They have a local office about 15 miles from my apartment in Tewksbury, MA. My cousin, 2 years younger than me, recently became a registered architect in Taiwan. I am 31 now. I am about to get a CCIE certificate, have passed the written part for more than 1 year and taken the lab exam twice. I am embarrassed to even think about talking to my cousin about my idea of using their data to build our simulator world. We, in USA, don't pay too much respect to software engineers as scientists. In Taiwan, it is worse. In Taiwan, flight attendants or RN's make twice as much salary as a cutting-edge technology engineer. A registered architect makes 10 times more money than a software engineer in Taiwan. There is no such job title as "scientist" in Taiwan. That's why I ended up in USA. I am just confused about my life. I don't make less money than a registered nurse or registered architect here in USA. I think all the high-end technology graduates in Taiwan will end up in USA in less than 5 years after graduation. I heard about doctors make less than hair dressers in Russia. How do you talk to a people that degrade what we think should be respected? What do you do if this people is your people, your family, your parents, your siblings? I haven't spoken to any of them for 3 years. My name used to be Tengchiang Tsao. Picked up this English name this year after getting granted a green card. I converted a couple MSFS bgp scenario files for my own FG use using PPE a few years ago. John Gibson __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL Something to write home about.
