I'd also like to point out that it will only work for small areas of photo 
textures since FlightGear doesn't do any texture paging yet.
IIRC all the textures required in a scenery area get stuffed into VRAM until 
the simulator exits.

This means if you place a photo in the scenery with the dimensions of 10x10km 
with a 1 meter/pixel resolution it will try to load the entire 286MB worth of 
image into your graphic card's VRAM no matter how many pieces you chop it up 
into.

So Alex if you only plan to use it around an airport or two or use very low 
resolution imagery then it'll work.
