Dear Freeciv fans, I am proud to present: the very first - and hopefully only - Release Candidate (RC) for Freeciv 2.1.0! It has been very long in the making, with the first beta of this version coming out in early 2006. A big thanks to everyone who has reported bugs, fixed these bugs, and looked forward to our releases! =) Download source tarballs from ftp://ftp.freeciv.org/freeciv/beta (binary packages for Windows and Mac OS X available within short.) For an outline of what's changed since beta6, see http://www.freeciv.org/wiki/NEWS-2.1.0-rc1 If no showstopper bug (e.g. crash in vital function or compile error) is discovered in a week from now, we will release the final version of Freeciv 2.1.0. In other case, a second RC will be released instead. Disclaimer: We admit that not all bugs reported for 2.1 has been resolved yet, but we do believe that this version is now 'good enough' for daily use. If you find any (new or old) bugs, please do report them to http://bugs.freeciv.org ! The Very Best, Daniel Markstedt, for the Freeciv dev team _______________________________________________ Freeciv-announce mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-announce
