-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, moving caravans from A to B, I usually click somewhere to the map an then select one of the biggest cities in the main viewport. Currently, city sizes are indicated by a small number to the upper left of the city. That's nice as long as you have to care about a few cities only. But when there are other cities, maybe far away, I'd like to have an immediately facility to compare the cities in view with those not there, i.e. I'd like to be able to figure out the sizes of the currently visible cities relatively to the biggest of my cities (anywhere) at _one_ glance. Easiest way to implement this, would be a progress bar like indicator next to each city (like the bars next to units). On the other hand, to handle two different kinds of bars could require much attention. That would defeat that "at one glance" attempt. Then, what about a pie chart? Additionally, here's a list which shows the suitability of visualizations for nominal/ordinal/quantitative data: http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~tmm/talks/hackers03/mgp00015.html - -- Wolfram -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDN46/Sym3Soq2FdQRAsfNAJ4pP9hdKqk7xR9fr6t++IqYAMetTQCgpaSA 8LpvHAwfSOwKQr2IDUIYHW0= =EiZt -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
