When I first time opened the po-file to write missing strings, I didn't think about full work, but... Some phrases were inaccurate, some - grammatically incorrect and there were errors that change the meaning. Once, maybe two years later, I've desided to complete recast. Of course, it remains a legacy of previous translators, such as unit and improvement names, and a number of apposite terms. But all the in-game strings including civilopedia's articles were translated from scratch. And all the time there was no movement neither in the Russian maillist nor here. But I'd be glad to receive proposals and corrections. Criticism is also welcome. :) > I notice that some of the nation legend translations have considerably > more detail than the English originals. Yes, some nation names were puzzled me, I had to find the correspondence with Russian ones used in our national ethnography, but finding them I also abtained an encyclopedic article. And it is hard work to cut one-two pages into one-two paragraphs. :) Bye. -- Konstantin _______________________________________________ Freeciv-i18n mailing list Freeciv-i18n-8nu/[email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-i18n
