Ah yes. This'll be fixed when the civ2civ3 help hits S2_6/trunk, but it needs rewriting for the new rules first. We can do a spot fix if it's causing a massive problem. > BTW, there are some FIXME comments in my translation related to typos > in msgids and also to lack or redundancy of pluralization issues. Definitely needs fixing, but we generally prefer not to assemble sentences out of fragments because that places constraints on translators. I think the answer to this one is just to make it a msgid_plural. # FIXME: Already pluralized msgid "%d bulb" should be used as %s instead # of these "%d bulbs" msgid_plural "" "To reach %s you need to obtain %d other technologies first. The whole " "project will require %d bulbs to complete." ...however, in this case there's no choice, so we'll have to take the approach you suggest. (We've done this before, for gold. Has this caused any translators any actual problems?) # FIXME: There're no "?unitclass:Diplomat" sentence to translate. #: common/unittype.h:156 common/unittype.h:340 data/civ1/units.ruleset:1160 #: data/civ2/units.ruleset:1867 data/classic/units.ruleset:1942 #: data/experimental/units.ruleset:1968 data/civ2civ3/units.ruleset:2121 #: data/multiplayer/units.ruleset:2040 msgid "Diplomat" msgstr "Дипломат" Not sure quite what you want here. There are three uses of this unqualified string: - A unit type name - A unit flag name - A unit role name There's no "Diplomat" unit class in the supplied rulesets. I don't think we really expect high-quality translations for the unit flag/role names -- as discussed previously here, they're a bit of a hack -- but if we were going to give them qualified strings, I think we'd do so for all flag/role names. _______________________________________________ Freeciv-i18n mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-i18n
