 Well, there has been no updates to the translation in a long time,
and definitely not since 2.5.1, so any work you have already done
against 2.5.1 is certainly an improvement. The fact that next release
is going to be 2.5.2 and not 2.5.1 again means that for a complete
translation we need a bit different set of strings to what was in
2.5.1. As for the schedule, 2.5.2 release is planned next weekend...

 In order to keep what you have already done, I think you should first
send your current work here for us to integrate in (we can see later
if we are going to give svn write to you, but at this point code
maintainers can take care of committing your translations). Then I can
make you it.po containing latest strings from freeciv S2_5 branch (and
those strings have already been frozen for 2.5.2 release, so they are
exactly the ones that will be in 2.5.2) and your 2.5.1 translation as
far as it applies. Then you can translate that it.po and again send
the results here for integration. If you have ANY progress before
Saturday morning (playing safe here - jtn said that the release might
take place Sunday instead), please send that, so that we get at least
partial update to 2.5.2.
