I need to update my knowledge to Java 1.2 though, as bitmaps Excellent! I'll do some more work on packets then. I'd like to go to Esben's ideas for the architecture of the program, but it became apparent that even with the code in beginning stages like this, it's a bit tricky to make the changes all at once, so with his help, we can do it in small chunks. > graphics in pre-1.2 really sucks. To be precise, what's being used at the moment is Jave 1.1.[67] with the 1.1beta3 version of Swing. The basic reason Java 1.2 is not being used yet is that it is not yet ported to a significant number of Unices and Linux. > Even if only one person was to have write-access, I would still want CVS. > Being able to "cvs up" and "cvs diff" really saves a lot of time. I have no problem setting up a read-only CVS server for this project. I'll go ahead and do that and send a message to the list when it's ready. -- John Goerzen Linux, Unix consulting & programming [email protected] | Developer, Debian GNU/Linux (Free powerful OS upgrade) www.debian.org | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Visit the Air Capital Linux Users Group on the web at http://www.aclug.org
