Gentes is a tricky case. There was a German edition in 2017, but I for one never noticed it. The mass market edition came out in 2018, but the kickstarted version not until 2019 (to some annoyance). Personally it's a candidate for top ten games of 2019, so far, but ignoring that, whether it should be considered a 2018 game, and eligible, or a 2017 game that got missed (or was it on the 2017 ballot?) I don't know. >
