Chris: Gentes was nominated last year (and did quite well, finishing in the middle of the pack). So it's ineligible for 2018. Sorry.

Paul: Even though Mini Rails comes from a Taiwanese publisher, it isn't a classic "second chance" case, since the English language version came out in 2017. As you say, it was on the first round's ballot last year, only receiving 2 votes. Moaideas isn't a large company, but the game did get the notice of a number of gamers and reviewers in '17. Still, as you mention, the number of copies in circulation by the middle of 2018 was probably still pretty limited. To me, the most telling argument is that Vasel's video review of it didn't appear until March of last year and we all know how influential that can be. That, and your ownership data, is enough for me to say that it's reasonable to consider it a 2018 design and add it to this year's ballot.

Jonathan: I'll add Holmes and Moriarty and Narabi to the list. I also have no problem in also adding Shadowrun Crossfire: Prime Runner Edition. The Geek considers it a new game and the description says it has updated and revised rules, so I'd say it qualifies.
