Hi folks,
Since this came up in private email I thought I'd bring it up.
The MCA voting website doesn't have the best security. So please, don't
use a password there that you use on other sites for sensitive
information. In fact, since the worst a hacker can do here is to vote for
games, I'd recommend using a crappy password like '123456'.
There's no easy way to change your password on the site, because writing
websites is hard. So if you want to change your password, send me an email
with the password you'd like to use.
I've noticed a whole bunch of accounts created on the site from suspicious
sites .. you know, like 10 accounts generated from an IP address in Moldova
and usernames all dictionary words with three letters appended, stuff like
that. I'll be purging such accounts in the next few minutes. I
hope I won't accidentally remove any accounts from real voters, but in case
I do, sorry and let me
know.
