After more testing I've found that the brake "ABS" aids don't work very well
- they reduce
the braking far too much.  In the attached file I've replaced it with the
filterABS code
from BT (the autoclutch fix is also present).

If anyone finds any bugs please let me know, otherwise I believe this is ok
for inclusion
in 1.3.1.
