Hi

If you edit the brake system of the car xml (in ./cars/...), then it 
gets eventually overridden by the default or specific xml setup loaded 
by the robot, this depends on the robot you use and how it is 
configured, you can as well review the robot tutorial, the setup chapter.

For the berniw/bt/olethros derivatives in "stock" TORCS 1.3.3 or higher 
you need to adopt the default.xml file.

You wrote before (it was you, no?) that you did reconfigure a robot to 
take another car, but maybe there is still the original default xml, 
this does then totally misfit, so you can replace it with the content of 
a good car xml (of the car you have chosen), and then adjust the brake 
pressure (see "stock" robot configurations to get an idea for working 
values, I guess it is not that far apart).
