Opps, I meant the changes will get into test3, not test1, sorry for the 
typo. But the xml looks "very ordinary", so I guess you have another 
problem.
Did you build TORCS by yourself or do you run the binary, which version, 
which operating system? VS2008 built trackgen does not work, will be 
fixed in 1.3.4, but the official 1.3.3 release is built with vs6, so the 
trackgen version of this binary works.

If you use a self built VS2008 version you can fix it quickly, just 
search for fopen calls in the trackgen project, and remove the "a" mode 
flag.
