vc express 2010 build problems - runtime problem

Thank you for your help and prompt responses. 



I started fresh with a new torcs source directory and followed the directions 

more carefully this time. I did need to change the torcs.rc file as recommen ded. 



Torcs now builds and runs. 



Although torcs seems to run correctly, I do get a _lot_ of the following 

messages on the terminal when I close the torcs window: 



cGrScreen::update glDisable(GL_DEPTH_TEST) invalid operation 
cGrScreen::update display boards invalid operation 
refresh: start invalid operation 
grDrawBackground: ssgCullAndDraw start invalid operation 
grDrawBackground: ssgCullAndDraw invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: start invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: end invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: start invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: end invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: start invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: end invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: start invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: end invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: start invalid operation 
cggrDrawCar: end invalid operation 
refresh: ssgCullAndDraw start invalid operation 
refresh: ssgCullAndDraw invalid operation 



This problem also occurs with the pre-built torcs. 

Could all these messages be affecting my frame rate? (The frame rate seems  to be ok) 



I am running windows 8 

amd a8-6500 apu with radeon graphics (x 4) 

amd radeon hd 8570D display adapter (driver is up to date, according to windows) 



The above information came from device manager (the documentation that came with this computer 

is utterly useless)
