Installing TORCS on Mac El Capitan

Hi all, We would like to use TORCS for an AI research project, likely using SnakeOil on Python. Unfortunately I cannot get TORCS to install on Mac OS X El Capitan, and would like to avoid too much patching in the original code. Has someone found a straight-forward way to install TORCS? Alternatively, do public servers exist that we could just connect our robot to?
