Mr. Lord of the Trains;
It's not a 'Bug'. The game is set up that way. The way to
successful remove as you wanted, is to
NOT play a game from the scenario as it is downloaded. Why?
Because you "taint" the scenario.
I've built a lot of scenarios and have had to learn this the
hard way. What do you do? Before I even
start a game, I go to a place in the open water and 'stack'
ground and make a quick pyramid, then
save this under a different name. NOW use this scenario instead
of the original. I use 'cheat' Money
($2,000,000) to finance the removal of this 'pyramid', (back in
the editor section). When finished,
again, I use 'cheat' Money to restore my original $200,000. I
hope this helps you, Sir.
Always,
Jim Powers

Subject: [ttdpatch] Bug in scenaro editor
Hi, I´ve noticed a bug in scenario editor (I think that it is a bug.).
One day, I wanted to destroy large amount of roads in one city and rebuld
them in another way.
I loaded my savegame into the editor, but after destroying about 7 houses
there was a message
that local authorities dont´t allow me to do this (that was the message
which is shown when
company rating drops too down). I saved the game back as a savegame, and
started it. Ye,
my company rating droped down while I was destroying buildings, but it was
in the editor...
Or another story: I wanted to remove an unsed food processing plant and I
wanted to save
money, so I did it in the scen. editor, and when I reloaded the game, I´ve
noticed that about 30 milions pounds (usual cost for removing industries) of
my cash were gone...
So the problem is: when loading a savegame into the editor, it remembers me
as the player and
it takes money for everything and company rating is dropping like in the
game (but I didn´t try to erect a new city, I´m affraid it can do something
bad).
Excuse me for writing such a long message, but I wanted that everyone
understands the problem... :-)))
