I don't think so. I included TTRS into the game just recently (because it 
didn't work before), so I played it a long time without TTRS. And even 
without TTRS, it shows the same behaviour. 

Maybe it behaves worse if I play in a region with many tracks and trains 
(some big stations and industries in a very small area). But I'm not 100% 
sure about that.

Playing alpine without TTRS makes no difference, see above. I played TTRS 
without alpine several months ago and noticed no difference.
