The tutorials work fine if you turn off all TTDPatch switches (except maybe 
the win2k switch).

The problem is that the tutorials only record keyboard and mouse motion and 
clicks, but the game behaves slightly differently if patch switches are 
active, and so some things the tutorials click on don't exist, which means 
they click on the wrong thing and become horribly confused.

There's no good solution other than turning off all patch switches to watch 
the tutorials.
