Well, hit me if I'm wrong, but isn't the main problem of TTDPatch that is was and still is more or less a huge hack onto the rigid original code? I remember times when TTDP developers were praised for creating features that had been considered impossible before. "Higher resolution" comes to my mind there. OTTD could do that rather early in its development and it looked better, too. What I'm trying to say is: While OTTD does indeed have more coders which surely accelerates development significantly, it uses a programming "environment" that makes changing stuff much easier. I am aware that I'm moving a bit on thin ice here, because I've neither had a look at TTDP code nor at that of OTTD.
