Internet-Draft draft-abraitis-idr-maximum-paths-subcode-02.txt is now
available.

Title: Maximum Number of Paths Reached Notification for BGP
   Authors: Donatas Abraitis
            Jeffrey Haas
   Name: draft-abraitis-idr-maximum-paths-subcode-02.txt
   Pages: 6
   Dates: 2026-07-21

Abstract:

This document defines a new BGP Cease NOTIFICATION message subcode,
"Maximum Number of Paths Reached", used when a BGP speaker terminates
a peering because the number of paths received from a neighbor, as
permitted by BGP ADD-PATH, exceeds a locally configured upper bound.
That bound may be applied on a per-prefix basis or as an aggregate
   limit across an address family.
