I've been talking to the IESG about how to conclude the APEX working group. The only outstanding issue is the presence draft which was kind of caught in limbo. If it's OK with the WG, here's how I'd like to proceed. (For the record, I've discussed this with Ted who has discussed it with other ADs, so if there are no objections here, there will likely be no objections in the IESG.) Talking to Graham, it sounds like there is not any energy left to incorporate whatever is the final outcome of the CPIM work. What I'd like to do is push the presence draft through as Experimental. This gets us out of the problem of having to deal with the CPIM references, but it still gets the work published if anyone in the future is interested in implementing it. Please let me know ASAP if you think this is a bad idea. Otherwise, I will give the go-ahead to Ted, who will bring it to the IESG at their next meeting and the WG will be shut down.
