If most or your messages come from Yahoo groups...   8-)

Most of this messages will come with advertisements, javascripts, 
images, colors, ... Things very appreciated by spam filters...

You can trash them without problem (at work, but not at home) or, if you 
really want them, catch them before the filter. This may be easy, as you 
know them (you've subscribed to the group).
