  Hadmut, please don't be so hasty.  Political issues are outside of
the scope of IETF.

  We will.  See my recent email to the list.  I plan on creating a
common document, listing myself as editor, and the draft authors
(including you), as contributing authors.

  Sending press releases about a proposal isn't a way to acheive
consensus.  Not referencing prior art is not a way to acheive
consensus.
