  You didn't.  What I said was that a solution would go forward, with,
or without you.  I didn't threaten you, and I didn't say I would use
your work without accreditation.

  What I said was the undiluted truth.  Someone, somewhere, will be
the author of an LMAP (or similar) RFC.  You can be part of the
solution, or you can lock yourself in your room, and refuse to work
with others.  It's your choice.  No one is forcing you to do anything.

  If you are unwilling to face that truth, then I must admit I'm
disappointed.

  I absolutely REFUSE to coddle anyones ego.  The combined proposal is
about coming up with a solution to the problem.  It's not about
coddling someones ego.

  If your entire purpose in participating is to get more ego boosts,
then I can understand why you do not want to participate in a
solution.  My goal, as I have always said, is to create a solution.

  I don't care about peoples egos.  I *do* care about a solution, and
I care about giving credit where credit is due.

  If you refuse to participate, then please state if you do not want
your name on a combined proposal.  Barring that, you *will* be given
credit.

  But if your requirement for participating in a group effort is that
you alone get credit, then I don't understand why you chose to
participate in the first place.
