I believe that all three of > them are agreeable. My personal opinion is that they are all substantially similar in concept: EHLO/HELO, MAIL FROM, reverse IP lookups in DNS. The implementations differ, but mostly in syntax of queries & policy statements in DNS. I'm in the process of updating the discussion paper, and hope to have something out later this week. I'll take a look at writing an overview document, but I'm not sure I can do an acceptable job. I can *edit* one, if the individual authors are willing to provide content. What I propose is this: the individual authors should write text comparing their solution to the others. The text doesn't have to be large, but it should point out the limitations & benefits of the different proposals. It should also discuss which solutions are orthogonal. The following web page can be used as a basis, for issues which do *not* need to be addressed again: http://www.striker.ottawa.on.ca/~aland/asrg-rmx/issues.html The issues which should be addressed are *technical* ones, such as syntax of queries, syntax of policy statements in DNS, what kind of policy statements go into DNS, etc. These summaries should be sent to me *off-list*. I will take care of editing them together, and posting an overview document, for general review. We can then decide where to go from there. I'd like to have the comparison text by next Monday. I'll post an update later that week. Alan DeKok.
