Well, in principle it would be possible, but imho not advisable for several reasons: - Remember the example I've given with @danisch.de. We are talking about e-mail and senders, and we currently base e-mail addresses on domain names, not on IP addresses. domain space is the more important address space compared to IP address space. - You register for a domain. You don't register for IP addresses. - IP addresses are far to volatile. Dynamicly assigned IP addresses (dhcp, ppp,...) can change within seconds. Domains don't. This doesn't make it impossible to use IP addresses for reputation, but quite difficult. regards Hadmut
