Several people asked me to not go any further within this working
group. I will reply if it is desired.

I'm also waiting for information about a conference at MIT,
because everyone at MIT seems to duck and cover. Since I started
to ask, suddenly nobody wants to be the organizer, nobody wants to
have authorized the conference, nobody wants to have authorized
handouts and they deny that any handout has been distributed. The
MIT acts as if the spam conference in January has never happened.
Kind of phantom.

Similar with the german edition of MIT's Technology Review who printed
an article about an interview with Meng. Since they realized that
their article is not arguable, they all suddenly went dumb. The last
comment from an editor was that the article could be wrong, but as they
are a german edition of an american magazine they did not want to open
transatlantic conflicts. Transatlantic interests are given higher
priority than writing articles correctly.

esr's mail revealed a lot. I don't think it really needs a reply,
because once you read it you know what happened. And since I was asked
to not go further here for several reasons, I decided to wait at least
until I found out what happened at MIT and TR. But if you demand and
others don't object, I will reply. Definitely.
