Before anyone else blames Microsoft in this forum, let me make something
clear:

The whole net is the true, common threat. You can't blame Microsoft for the
success of a Linux worm, or especially for idiots who insist on opening
packages clearly marked "Bomb" in their e-mail.

And I hope this is the end of the finger-pointing regarding viruses etc.

I hope so, but experience tells me it's going to take a while past Seoul to
do that, regardless of the effort of certain, well, evangelists.

It is important to develop and TEST stuff. While a lot of testing was done,
it seems more is needed. We also have a very strong anti-verify camp that
needs LARTing.

I've consulted for travel agencies only for a year now, and I'm appalled with
the lack of testing by certain software developers (Microsoft included) and I
believe it's a similar condition with other computerized industries.
Spammers are a far smarter lot than most of us give them credit for. If we
rush into this, we'll have a solution that will stop spam for two weeks
before we're stuck with it.

My understanding is the BOF is to determine if a working group is needed to
continue research in this area, not to come up with a solution itself. That
is all, and judging from the schedule that's all they seem to have time for.
