I could put a captcha and a web form, or a postal address with
instructions to write all correspondence on a £20 note.

But my goal is not to hide from spammers, it's to make e-mail work.

As Laura noted, unless you know some way to keep addresses from leaking,
they're going to leak anyway.

Also, you might read up on zoemail, since you're about half way to
reinventing it.  I would really appreciate it if people would do at
least a little of the Research that the R in ASRG stands for and find
out if they're heading down well known dead ends.
