Hi BMWG, We just posted draft-03 of the traffic management work and wanted to summarize activity since Vancouver: 1. Reviewed the scope of the draft with Dean Lee. This review helped us to refine specific wording to emphasize that the test method will characterize and benchmark the traffic management capabilities, using the metrics defined in the draft; re-enforcing that this test method is not a conformance test. 2. The draft was combed through substantially to clarify content, test flow and metric definitions 3. AQM has been removed from the scope of this work, we want to bound the work to the more predominant traffic management functions that are being used by network operators (policing, queuing, shaping) At Vancouver, we presented internal lab testing of the shaper test method. Since then, we have additionally tested the queue and shaper portions in a major network operator lab environment which included both the stateless and stateful TCP tests. We plan to present these results at the London meeting.
