Hi Xueyan,

Thank you for your support.

I have listed your previous comments along with our additional responses below. Thank you for the reminder. Regarding the first comment, we have addressed it. For the second comment, we have discussed how to update the examples and will include the revisions in the next version.

1) From Xueyan: would suggest to use "false positive ratio" and "false negative ratio". The "false positive ratio" can be used to indicate the ratio of legitimate packets incorrectly dropped, and "false negative ratio" can be used to indicate the proportion of illegal packets incorectly allowed. At the best case, the ratio parameter is expected to be as low as 0%, what do you think?

[Libin:] Yes, we agree and did the revision. In the current version, we use "false positive rate" and "false negative rate" as the SAV accuracy metrics.

We use the term "false positive/negative rate" rather than "false positive/negative ratio" because "rate" has a well-defined statistical meaning, referring to the proportion of false positives/nagatives conditioned on all actual negative/positive samples. In benchmarking and measurement documents, including those in networking and machine learning, "rate" is usually used. We adopt "rate" to ensure clarity and alignment with established terminology. If experts in BMWG and IPPM have other different suggestions, we can discuss more.

2) From Xueyan: BTW, I found the IP address used in the examples is V4 type, IPv6 example should be used. You can refer to https://authors.ietf.org/example-addresses.

[Libin:] Thanks for reminding this point. We discussed this and plan to use IPv6 to replace IPv4 in the examples. Will add them in the next version.

Best,

Libin

Hello all,

I support WG adoption of this draft.

My comments seems not be addressed at the current version?
