Body: 1. Overall description:
ETSI ISG NFV would like to inform the IETF TEAS, OPSAWG and CCAMP WGs about the start of a new work item DGS/NFV-SOL019 "Profiling specification of solutions for Multi-site Connectivity Services based on Abstraction and Control of TE Networks (ACTN)".

The objective of this work item is to specify how the NETCONF/RESTCONF protocols and YANG data models defined in IETF for the Abstraction and Control of TE Networks (ACTN) interfaces could be used at the interfaces exposed by the WAN Infrastructure Manager (WIM), to fulfil the requirements and information model about “multi-site connectivity services” specified in the published ETSI GS NFV-IFA 032 "Management and Orchestration; Interface and Information Model Specification for Multi-Site Connectivity Services". The specification also describes the operations and the information elements that are exchanged over these interfaces.

A number of existing (or in progress) protocol and data model solutions, including ACTN, have been already analysed with respect to the ETSI GS NFV-IFA 032 interfaces, operations and information elements,  and the results of this analysis have been published in ETSI GR NFV-SOL 017 “Protocols and Data Models; Report on protocol and data model solutions for Multi-site Connectivity Services”.

The results of the analysis in ETSI GR NFV-SOL 017 confirm that the scope of functionality of the interfaces exposed by the WIM map to the functionality offered by the ACTN framework and that the NETCONF/RESTCONF protocols and YANG data models defined in IETF for ACTN provide substantial support for the multi-site connectivity services.
However, some gaps to fulfil the requirements of ETSI GS NFV-IFA 032, has been identified and described in section 6 of ETSI GR NFV-SOL 017, and following are the highlights:

•	Reservation specific attributes and operations for MSCS management are not supported;
•	Capacity related information is partially supported, and capacity threshold management is not supported;
•	Fault Management is partially supported;
•	Performance Monitoring Jobs management is partially supported and PM threshold management is not supported;
•	Filter attributes are partially supported;
•	Query of subscription is partially supported and querying of multiple subscriptions is not supported.

The expectation is these gaps can be addressed by future work in TEAS, OPSAWG and CCAMP WGs.

We would appreciate if our request can be reviewed in the next IETF meeting 113.
