How to turn off auto-version

Hi,
I'm testing my client with SoftwareAGs Tamino WebDAV server.
It has auto-version = checkout-checkin.
But what if I want an error for a PUT on a checked-in VCR ?
Can I set auto-version to "empty" and how do I do that ?
