Per RFC 2616 section 19.4.5, CTE is indeed not used by HTTP, but all that means is that should you need to gateway you have to remove the CTE. You already have to accomodate the base64 and quoted-printable CTEs, so you have to deal with CTEs regardless of whether or not define a new compressed one. > I remember that all the options we discussed for > binding at the MIME level were not acceptable.
