Yes, very complex.
This might be one of methods that are satisfying to mail experts.
How about cc'ing to ietf-smtp ML?
Is it good or bad now?
Questions.
I do not know well what contents are transmitted
when SMTP Relay server converts images.
Does it transmit Content-Converted header and
converted images in the same MIME part?
What if the conversion happens several times?
The header is over-written?
Several "Old" and "New" fields exists?
There are things that I do not understand well.
When I have more time, I read again.
I think Appendix A, which is the original proposal,
should go to the main body, taking the section 8 or 9.
It is easier to implement than the relay-case.
