Dear colleagues, As outlined in BCP101, one of my duties as President of the Internet Society is to appoint a Nominations Committee (NomCom) chair. To that end, I am pleased to announce that Mankamana Mishra will be the NomCom chair for 2026-2027. Mankamana Mishra is a principal engineer with Cisco Systems based in California. He has been an active IETF participant since IETF-100. Apart from being a contributor in BESS, PIM, IDR, and other routing area working groups, he actively reviews and participates in developing routing area specs. He has been secretary for the BESS working group for many years and recently joined the team for early BGP review as well. Last year, Mankamana was also a voting member of the NomCom. As we begin a new NomCom cycle, I would like to thank Benno Overeinder for his service as chair during the previous cycle and for his continued service as an advisor to Mankamana during this next cycle. I would also like to thank the volunteers who contributed to the NomCom as voting members and liaisons; your collective efforts are in service of the community. Finally, I invite you to volunteer for the NomCom once the call for volunteers is made — it is a great way to learn more about the IETF and the way it is governed, and help ensure that we have a strong leadership.
