Re: Online 'hum'

One of the common uses I see of polls is to see if the chairs guess as 
to the sense of the room after discussion is accurate. WHile the chairs 
cna usually guess the general question they want to ask before hand, I 
would hope and expect that the exact wording would depend upon the 
discussion that took place.  So expecting the chairs to post the exact 
wording before-hand would often seem coutner-productive.

Having said that, I presume that some training on how to ask clear 
questions would often be helpful.  I agree that I have sometimes seen 
quite confusing questions.  For example, it is really bad when the 
spoken description of the quesiton does not match the words in the poll.
