I dropped the IESG from the Cc.

The assignment of authorship discussion intersects with the 
description of the role of editor (RFC 2418, Page 18).  There is a 
perception that the affiliation listed is an expression of support 
from the company or organization.  My hypothesis is that it would be 
politically inconvenient for an IESG member to overlook all that.
