Purely as a point of information: * Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, the EU Artificial Intelligence Act has * Article 50: Transparency obligations for providers and deployers of certain AI systems Which is (my summary) about use of sigils to mark content explicitly as being AI produced. There is a code of conduct which conforms to the requirements of the act. I think if a legislative body over 300m consumers can say it's in the public interest that corporate entities declare use of AI, we can reflect on the needs in our community. I would be surprised if the EU did not look at standards and RFCs coming into their tender processes, or telecommunications regulatory activity and ask the obvious question. -G
