The IETF Nomination Committee (NomCom) for 2026–2027 is now accepting nominations through 2026-10-13 (any time on Earth).

Open Positions
A list of positions under consideration is available on the NomCom website:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/nomcom/2026/

How to Nominate
To nominate someone, click the "Nominate" link at the top of the NomCom homepage, or go directly here:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/nomcom/2026/nominate/

When submitting a nomination:
- Please include a short explanation of why you are nominating the person.
- The "Candidate phone" field is optional.
- If you do not check the "Share nominator name" box, your nomination will remain confidential and the nominee will not be told who nominated them.

If you cannot use the web form, you may email nominations to [email protected].
Please:
- Put “Nominate” in the subject line.
- Include the nominee’s name, email address, and the position.
- If nominating someone else, indicate whether we may share your name with them.

Self-nominations are welcome. To nominate the same person for multiple positions, submit the form or email separately for each.

Nominees will complete a position-specific questionnaire, available by September 14, 2026 on the NomCom site and emailed directly to them.

After nominations close, the nominee list will be published for community feedback. All feedback, discussions, and votes will remain confidential.

It is easier to decline a nomination later than to add one after the deadline - so please nominate early. A broad and diverse set of candidates is key to the IETF's continued success.
