I believe that you have to allow non-AOR SUBSCRIBEs if you want the  
system to be practical. AOR SUBSCRIBEs will require authentication of  
the watcher and we seem to agree that this is a no-go. Thus, the only  
reasonable approach is to have a random-user-ID URL that serves as an  
authenticator.
