RFC 2362 is outdated and contains several loopholes. You want to refer = to the latest PIM-SM draft for the correct version. You can find it under = the PIM WG at the IETF site. The new draft is yet to become a standard and = that is why rfc2362 has still been left on the site.=20 Hope this helps.
